Home Reflection

Safer At Home.  Stay at Home. Shelter at Home.

Our homes have become a requirement instead of an option.  They are a sanctuary and a literal safe haven.  An office, a classroom, a gym.  There has never been a more pertinent time to take inventory of your space and how much you enjoy or don’t enjoy all its aspects.  How is the neighborhood? Do you wish you were closer to the beach or further from the bustle of downtown? Is it kid-friendly?  Do you long for a better outdoor space as the weather warms?  Is the home too big or small for your needs? Do you wish there was an island in the kitchen? Do you desperately need another bathroom? Minor projects are being tackled- as indicated by the huge influx in home improvement sales.  But what about the things that you can’t change? There is no better time than now to consider all the aspects of your home, and what possible home ownership goals you may have for your future.

As I stay up to date on current predictions by professional forecasters, it is evident that this is a great time for both buyers and sellers to pursue their interests.  On the buyer side- locking in these historically low interest rates might be even more valuable than waiting for prices to fluctuate.  On the seller side- in times of uncertainty, it is common for owners to sell off their assets.  As more homes go onto the market, the inventory will rise, and that will cause prices to drop.  While the market still remains semi-stable, it may be the perfect time to upgrade or downsize.  As always, I am here and happy to answer any of your real estate questions.
